Creventic and Porsche will launch a new, 12-hour race at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps reserved exclusively for Porsche 992 GT3 Cup machinery next year.
Run under the ‘Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport’ banner, the event date is scheduled for Sept. 6-7.
Only customer teams fielding 992-generation 911 GT3 Cup cars will be eligible for entry, with the grid split up into Pro, Pro-Am and Am categories.
Of note, Michelin will serve as the event’s official tire partner, supplying tires exclusively developed for Porsche Cup machinery and will also offer support to customer teams trackside.
In Creventic’s own 24H Series, where the 992 class has been present since 2022, the 911 GT3 Cup cars run on Hankook rubber.
The latest generation of Porsche Cup machinery has proven popular with teams since it joined the series, attracting 18 entries for the Hankook 24H Dubai earlier this year.
The Dutch organization has hosted similar specific events at Spa in the past, notably the TCR Spa 500 in 2019.
“Many of our 911 GT3 Cup customers are already contesting the races as part of the 24H Series organised by Creventic,” said Oliver Koeppen, One-Make Series and GT Sport Manager at Porsche Motorsport.
“That’s why we’re delighted to support Creventic’s latest initiative.
“It gives our customers another exciting opportunity to race their 992-Generation Cup Porsches in an endurance event on one of the world’s most popular Grand Prix circuits.”
