BMW factory driver Augusto Farfus has been confirmed in the addition of a second Paradine Competition BMW M4 GT3 EVO for this weekend’s Michelin 24H Dubai.
The touring car turned sports car racing ace will join fellow countryman Pedro Ebrahim, reigning GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup Silver Cup champion Jamie Day, along with James Kellett and team owner/driver Darren Leung, who are both set to pull double duty between both of the team’s GT3 entries.
Farfus is a former overall winner of the Middle Eastern enduro, having won the race in a Schubert Motorsport-run BMW Z4 GT3 alongside Claudia Hurtgen, Edward Sandstrom and Tommy Milner in 2011.
Ebrahim, meanwhile, returns to the British squad after taking part in GTWC Europe Endurance Cup with Paradine, and also having joined Farfus in WRT’s BMW for last year’s FIA World Endurance Championship round in Sao Paulo.
Dubai-based Brit Day will be making his team debut.
“I am super excited to be racing this weekend with Paradine Competition for the Dubai 24 Hour,” he said. “I can’t wait to get out there and see what we can do.”
While testing kicks off on Wednesday, official track action begins on Friday.
