Paradine Competition finished 1-2 in the brief warmup session before the Michelin 24H Dubai with James Kellett setting the pace.
The 30-minute session was the final track running before the race and only 18 of the 34 GT3 entries took to the track, with two of those not setting a representative time.
Kellett was quickest in the No. 992 BMW M4 GT3 EVO by 0.677 seconds over the sister machine of Augusto Farfus thanks to a 1:57.338 set with six minutes of the session remaining.
Both BMWs were nearly a second faster than anyone else, with third place occupied by the No. 87 Origine by CC Porsche 911 GT3 R of Ye Hongli, who posted a 1:58.872.
The best of the WRT BMWs was next up with Stanislav Minsky’s time in the No. 27 machine approaching two seconds slower than Kellett’s pace.
The top six was rounded out by the pair of Herberth Motorsport Porsches, Sven Mueller in the No. 269 car going just 0.031 seconds faster than stablemate Loek Hartog in the No. 10 entry.
The polesitting TFT Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo was next on the leaderboard, with Marvin Klein posting a 1:59.436.
Only six of the 992 class entries posted a time and the fastest was the SebLajoux Racing No. 910 Porsche of Mathys Jaubert.
GTX was headed by the Team CMR Ginetta G56 GT2, courtesy of Nico Prost, while the Cerny Motorsport BMW M4 GT4 again occupied first place in the GT4 ranks.
The Michelin 24H Dubai is due to begin at 1 p.m. local time (4 a.m. ET).
