Team WRT will enter a single BMW M4 GT3 EVO in this weekend’s Michelin 6H Abu Dhabi, with Yasser Shahin and Timur Boguslavskiy making their team debuts.

Operated under the ‘The Bend Team WRT’ banner, the entry will see Shahin and Boguslavskiy share the No. 32 car with BMW factory driver Charles Weerts for the six-hour race around Yas Marina Circuit.

The Vincent Vosse-led squad is coming fresh off a fourth victory in the Michelin 24H Dubai, which like the Abu Dhabi event is organized by Dutch company Creventic.

Notably, WRT mainstay Weerts is set to team up with longtime GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS rival Boguslavskiy for the first time.

The two drivers frequently competed against each other in Sprint Cup in recent years, with Weerts and Dries Vanthoor often pitted against Boguslavskiy when he still formed a duo with Raffaele Marciello at Akkodis ASP Team prior to the latter’s move to BMW.

Shahin, meanwhile, is set for his first start in BMW machinery. The Australian is the reigning 24 Hours of Le Mans LMGT3 winner, a victory he achieved at the wheel of a Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Last week, it was confirmed that Shahin will also defend his Pro-Am class win in the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour, teaming up with his brother Sam.
