Team WRT is set to return to the Michelin 24H Dubai after a one-year absence with a single-car BMW effort, team principal Vincent Vosse has revealed.

The Belgian powerhouse outfit is one of the most successful squads in the history of the Middle Eastern enduro, winning three times including back-to-back victories in 2022 and 2023.

It was due to contest this year’s edition before withdrawing due to the two-week postponement from the original event date to the end of January.

Vosse told Sportscar365 that WRT’s return to the event is “looking good,” outlining that the team has opted to pursue a one-car effort for the Michelin 24H Series’ flagship event on Jan. 10-12.

While its last two winning efforts at the event were two-car entries, the team has run a single car in multiple previous editions, including for its maiden triumph 2016.

“The beginning of the season is going to be tough enough,” said Vosse.

“We hurt ourselves with trying to do two cars in Dubai. We still have to prepare the European season.”

The 20th edition of the Dubai enduro will mark the first time that BMW’s new-for-2025 GT3 EVO will be in racing action, with the car due to be rolled out to customers this month.
