Driving Force Events Ltd., the organizers behind the successful Gulf 12 Hours, have announced two new GT endurance races for the winter season in the Middle East.

Four-hour races are planning to be staged at Yas Marina Circuit on Jan. 25 and Lusail International Circuit one week later on Jan. 31, which will be open to GT3 and GT Cup (GTX1) cars competing on Pirelli tires.

The additional races in the United Arab Emirates and in Qatar come amid the return of the Gulf 12 Hours in Abu Dhabi on Dec. 12-14., which is expected to feature another capacity grid.

The new events will use a “fast and cost-efficient” logistics solution between the UAE and Qatar, according to a statement from the promoter.

For European teams, the project will also include an option for “rapid return” shipment to Europe through a dedicated loading point at the Port of Jeddah.
