Haupt Racing Team stalwart Arjun Maini will be joined in the squad’s DTM lineup for this year by reigning ADAC GT Masters champion Finn Wiebelhaus at the wheel of its pair of Ford Mustang GT3 EVOs.
Maini was 15th in the DTM standings last year as the team switched to Ford machinery from the Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, while 19-year-old rising star Wiebelhaus also remains with HRT for his DTM graduation.
Ford Racing Development Driver Wiebelhaus takes the place of Fabio Scherer in HRT’s lineup, the Swiss driver having finished 23rd of the 24 competitors in last year’s standings.
Maini described last season as a “valuable learning experience” with the switch to Ford and is now seeking to add to his three career DTM podium finishes to date.
Wiebelhaus added: “I’m beyond excited to be competing in the DTM with the Ford Mustang GT3 for HRT Ford Racing.
“Racing in the DTM has been my dream since childhood, and seeing it become a reality means more than I can express.
“I’m incredibly grateful for the trust and opportunity that HRT and Ford Racing are giving me.
“After winning the ADAC GT Masters and the Road to DTM classification last year, advancing to the DTM feels like a reward for years of hard work, sacrifice, and belief.”
HRT managing director Ulrich Fritz said Maini continuing with the squad ensures it is “maintaining continuity” and described his experience in the series “as a valuable asset.”
“Finn has great potential and has earned his place in the DTM through his outstanding performances,” Fritz added.
“On the technical side, I am excited that we can now field the EVO version of the Ford Mustang GT3 in the DTM for the first time. I am very confident that together, we will achieve good results in the 2026 DTM.”
