Doerr Motorsport has revealed an unchanged lineup for its third season fielding a pair of McLaren 720S GT3 Evos in the DTM with both Timo Glock and Ben Doerr continuing at the wheel.
Doerr, son of team boss Rainer, achieved McLaren’s first pole position in the DTM when he topped qualifying at the Nürburgring last year.
He went on to end up 17th in the standings with a best result of three eighth places, while Glock managed a single top 10 finish.
Nevertheless, the series stalwart is optimistic of making progress this season having previously been a five-time DTM winner in the category’s previous Class One era.
“My expectations are we are able to convert the progress we have made in the off-season into consistently good race weekends,” said Glock.
Doerr Sr described achieving McLaren’s first DTM podium as the target for this year and added: “We have meticulously analyzed our findings from the first two years in the DTM, and have reorganized virtually every area.
“From strengthening the personnel in the team and further developing the car in fine detail, to extensive test programs.
“Our test data gives us plenty of reason to be confident and shows that we have taken a big step forward.”
