Franck Perera will make a one-off DTM return at the Norisring, joining GRT Grasser Racing Team to replace Christian Engelhart.
The Frenchman, who took pole position for Grasser at last weekend’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa, will pilot the No. 63 Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2 on the Nuremberg street circuit.
A Lamborghini spokesperson told Sportscar365 that Engelhart is recovering from knee surgery, which is also why he was replaced by Jordan Pepper in the 24H Spa.
Perera completed a full DTM season with SSR Performance last year, scoring a race victory during the season opener in Oschersleben and taking two further podiums at Zandvoort and the Sachsenring.
