Gulf Racing has announced its driver lineup for next week’s Gulf 12 Hours, which will see the U.K.-based squad enter both a McLaren MP4-12C and Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 in the pair of six-hour enduros at the Yas Marina Circuit.
Team owner Michael Wainwright will be joined by McLaren factory drivers Adam Carroll and Rob Bell in the No. 9 entry, while newly crowned FIA WEC GTE-Am drivers’ champion Stuart Hall will team with co-team owner Roald Goethe and Frederic Fatien in the No. 69 Lamborghini.
“It’s brilliant to have Roald racing again with us to sign off 2013,” said tea manager Matt Beers. “It’s also great to be running two different marques, the Lamborghini has recently been refurbished and upgraded to competition standard and this is a great event to debut it back as part of our competitive stable of cars for 2014”.
The team recently announced the addition of Piers Masarati as its new business development manager. It’s expected they will mount a full-season program in the European Le Mans Series next year.
