After a partnership spanning 15 years, Peter Kox has parted ways with Reiter Engineering.
The 51-year-old Dutchman, who had played an integral role in the development of the German squad’s Lamborghini GT cars, has decided to end his cooperation with the company, effective immediately.
“Together, we have had great results, but now, the time has come to move on,” Kox said.
“When you look at where we started and when you see where the Lamborghini brand is now in international motor racing, I think we have achieved a lot together. I wish Hans Reiter and his team all the best for the future.”
In addition to being the team’s lead development driver, Kox enjoyed success on the track, winning numerous races for Reiter around the world in the FIA GT1 World Championship, Blancpain Sprint and Endurance Series and ADAC GT Masters competition, among others.
Fellow Dutchman Nick Catsburg was brought on as a Reiter Engineering driver at the beginning of the year, competing in the Blancpain Sprint Series and Pirelli World Challenge.
