Drivers in Lamborghini’s GT3 Junior and Young Drivers program have completed the first round of Squadra Corse’s training sessions for this year, which incorporated both on and off-the-track testing, development and physical training initiatives.
More than 40 drivers were present at Imola last month for the program, which included track testing with the Lamborghini Huracan and fitness testing, as well as workshops at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters.
According to Giorgio Sanna, Head of Lamborghini Motorsport, the program is aimed to help develop the next generation of drivers, both in terms of performance and professionalism.
“At Lamborghini Squadra Corse, we are proud to see the growth of the Young Drivers Program year after year,” Sanna said.
“The importance of this program and the interest it is generating in both the drivers and industry professionals throughout the world means that we have to set high quality standards and apply cutting-edge instructional methods in Motorsport.
“Because, I have to underscore, even if only a few arrive at being official drivers during their experience with Lamborghini, in any case we have contributed to creating driving professionals for the near future.”
The next Young Drivers and GT3 Junior Program training session is set for the end of October, also at Imola, just a few weeks prior to the Lamborghini World Final.
