Last year’s Nürburgring 24 winners Kelvin van der Linde, Augusto Farfus and Raffaele Marciello will seek a second consecutive success at the wheel of a ROWE Racing BMW M4 GT3 EVO in May when they will be joined by new BMW factory driver Jordan Pepper as part of an expanded attack from the German manufacturer.
BMW has revealed three lineups entirely comprising factory drivers for this year’s event on the Nordschleife with Pepper taking the place of Jesse Krohn in the No. 1 car.
Last year the victorious M4 was the sole GT3 BMW in the field, but ROWE will expand to running a second entry for the May 16-17 race and this will be piloted by Sheldon van der Linde, two-time winner Dries Vanthoor, Max Hesse and Dan Harper.
Hesse previously secured pole for the N24 in 2024 and finished third alongside Harper and Charles Weerts.
Weerts is also due to return for this year and will be part of a Schubert Motorsport entry where he will be joined by fellow factory aces Marco Wittmann, 2022 winner Robin Frijns (when he was with Audi) and Philipp Eng.
Unlike the ROWE machines, which will run on Michelin tires, the Schubert BMW will use Yokohama rubber.
“The race has always been a strong event for BMW M Motorsport, not least last year,” said Andreas Roos, head of BMW M Motorsport. “Our three 2025 champions are highly motivated to defend their title.
“With ROWE Racing and Schubert Motorsport, we have not only two top teams but also 12 outstanding works drivers on the grid.
“That gives us the best possible foundation to secure BMW’s 22nd overall victory in the ‘Green Hell’ in front of this impressive backdrop.”
Schubert Motorsport team boss Torsten Schubert added: “Returning to the 24 Hours of Nürburgring is not entirely new territory for us, but it remains a very special challenge, and I am very pleased to be back.
“Together with Yokohama, we are advancing tire development for the Nordschleife and hope to guide the BMW M4 GT3 EVO successfully through the Eifel once again.
“I am confident we can be successful. Since December, we have been preparing everything, building structures and completing numerous test sessions.”
Hesse, meanwhile, described the Nordschleife race as “the coolest event of the year.”
“In 2024 I secured pole position, in 2025 ROWE Racing won, so our ambitions are pretty clear,” he added.
“Our lineup is very strong, I’m very happy, and we’ll work together extremely well.
“Preparation won’t be easy due to some scheduling overlaps, but we’ll manage it as best as possible.”
Both teams are due to enter the opening two events of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Series season in preparation for the 24-hour contest.
