Manthey EMA will contest the 53rd running of the Nürburgring 24 with a largely unchanged lineup compared to last year as Porsche Hypercar driver Kevin Estre teams up with DTM stars Thomas Preining and Ayhancan Guven.
Estre, Preining and Guven were part of the lineup that took the Grello-liveried Porsche 911 GT3 R to second place in last year’s weatherer-shortened edition, where they teamed up with Laurens Vanthoor.
While Vanthoor does not return, the remainder of the lineup for the No. 911 machine is unchanged as Manthey chases a record-breaking eighth overall victory at the N24.
The team last triumphed in 2021, when Estre drove to victory in a race that was also red-flagged and shortened due to fog.
“After second place in the shortened race last year, we obviously still have a score to settle at this year’s 24 Hours of the Nürburgring,” said Manthey managing director Nicholas Raeder.
“For us, this home race is always a very special highlight in the season calendar, and we are looking forward to competing again this year with the large fan base here in the Eifel and our strong partners supporting us.”
Of note, the No. 911 Porsche will feature Red Bull branding for the first time, with the logo of the Austrian energy drink giant appearing on the front of the car as well the rear wing endplate.
