Alex Lynn will return to the cockpit of a GT3 car at this weekend’s ADAC Ruhr Cup, joining Falken Motorsports for the fourth round of the NLS season.
The Cadillac Hypercar driver will share the cockpit of the No. 4 Porsche 911 GT3 R with Alessio Picariello for the six-hour race on the Nordschleife.
It will mark Lynn’s first appearance at the Eifel venue since the 2018 Nürburgring 24, when he shared an SP8-class Aston Martin Vantage GT4 with Peter Cate, Jamie Chadwick and Jonny Adam.
His last GT3 outing at the Nordschleife dates back to the 2017 edition of the N24, when he drove a BMW M6 GT3 alongside Augusto Farfus, Antonio Felix da Costa and Timo Scheider.
The British driver previously told Sportscar365 that he was looking to expand into more GT racing alongside his duties in the FIA World Endurance Championship, something he did at the Rolex 24 at Daytona where he raced an AWA-entered Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R.
Falken’s second car, meanwhile, will be driven by former BMW factory driver Timo Glock and Nico Menzel.
Porsche is so far undefeated at NLS rounds this season, with Falken winning all but one race as Manthey EMA triumphed in the second round in April.
