***The “Dinner with Racers” podcast launches today, with hosts Ryan Eversley and Sean Heckman, who traveled through 20 states and logged more than 8,000 miles in a Continental Tire-shod Acura MDX to interview more than 25 people from the motorsports industry. ***Flying Lizard Motorsports has confirmed its driver lineup for next month’s Thunderhill 25 Hours. Darren Law, Johannes van Overbeek, Guy Cosmo and Tomonobu Fujii will team together in the Toyo-shod Audi R8 LMS for the race. All four have previous experience with the team.
***Bruno Senna will try his hand in powerboat racing, with the Brazilian having been announced as part of the iRace Pro Tea with Vector Martini. He will take part in the four-man crew in next year’s World Endurance Record Challenge from Sao Paulo to Rio, which will coincide with the 2016 Olympic Games.
***Lance Corporal Martyn Compton, who suffered burns to 70 percent of his body in a roadside bombing in Afghanistan, has launched TeamBRIT, a racing team for disabled soldiers. Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, is supporting the initiative, with the goal of assembling the first team of disabled servicemen to race in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
