SUPER GT has confirmed the dates for its two official pre-season tests at Okayama International Circuit and Fuji Speedway ahead of the 2025 season.
Series organizer GTA announced on Monday that Okayama will hold two days of testing on March 15-16, while Fuji will play host to a further two days on March 29-30.
Four hours of running will take place per day, split into a pair of two-hour sessions.
It marks a return to a more usual schedule, after last year’s official tests were held in back-to-back weeks to avoid a clash with Formula E’s Tokyo E-Prix.
However, with the all-electric series’ trip to Japan being pushed back from the final weekend of March to mid-May this year, this is no longer an issue.
The official tests, featuring both GT500 and GT300 machinery, will follow on from a pair of GT500 makers’ tests at the same venues, which will take place on Feb. 12-13 at Okayama and Feb. 27-28 at Fuji.
Testing for the 2025 season begins this month with a visit to Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit, where four days of running for GT500 cars will be held on Jan. 19-20 and Jan. 22-23 (with a rest day on Jan. 21).
At least 11 cars are expected to make the trip to Malaysia, including nine race cars and test vehicles from Toyota and Nissan.
For the six Bridgestone-shod race cars at Sepang, this will be the only running available prior to the first official test at Okayama.
The 2025 SUPER GT season will begin at Okayama on April 12-13.
