This week’s Weekend Racing Roundup features the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe from Spa-Francorchamps and the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup from the Hungaroring. None of the major national GT championships raced this weekend, as teams and drivers focussed on the 24 Hours of Spa.

Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe
Bonaldi Motorsport driver Patrick Kujala already won five out of six rounds before Spa and added another win to his total this weekend.

In the first race on Friday, Kujala started from pole position and led from start to finish, crossing the line ahead of Alberto Di Folco. However, after the race Kujala was given a 10-second penalty for passing the safety car at the restart and Di Folco inherited the race win.

On Saturday Kujala didn’t make the same mistake behind the safety car and in the pouring rain he, again, led from start to finish. Di Folco was unable to catch the Finn, but finished just 1.352 second behind Kujala.

Race 1 – 1. Raton Racing (A. Di Folco), 2. Vincenzo Sospiri Racing (S.Michimi/K.Cozzolino), 3. Imperiale Racing (A.Cerqui/G.Barri)

Race 2 – 1. Bonaldi Motorsport (P. Kujala), 2. Raton Racing (A. Di Folco), 3. Antonelli Motorsport (D.Zampieri/R.Mavlanov)

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup
Porsche Junior Sven Müller got his first win of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup season at the Hungarian Grand Prix. The German started from pole position and pulled away from the rest of the field, eventually finishing six seconds clear of Côme Ledogar, who moved into second place right at the start. Christian Engelhart claimed third place.

Race – 1. Team Lechner Racing Middle East (S. Müller), 2. Martinet by Almeras (C. Ledogar), 3. MRS GT-Racing (C. Engelhart).
