GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS has announced it will return to the streets of Adelaide for its season finale next year, completing its 2026 calendar.

The famous South Australia venue returns to the calendar for the first time since 2023 with a pair of races in support of the Supercars Championship’s Adelaide Grand Final on Dec. 3-6, replacing Hampton Downs Raceway as the season finale.

Adelaide becomes one of two new venues for the 2026 season alongside Hidden Valley Raceway, which was revealed to be joining the schedule previously.

“We are pleased to officially lock in our calendar for 2026 with an event as prestigious as the Adelaide Grand Final,” said SRO Motorsports Australia CEO Ben McMellan.

“To return to the Adelaide street circuit and wrap our season is an exciting prospect for the category and I have no doubt that our teams, drivers and other stakeholders will thoroughly enjoy going there.

“This race track has a rich motorsport history having been where the Australian Grand Prix raced at back in the day, while the Adelaide Grand Final event itself is one of the biggest in the country, so it’s a fantastic opportunity for the category to be able to see off the year on that platform.

“A big thank you to the South Australian Motorsport Board for helping this get over the line and I look forward to seeing a full field of the best GT cars in Australia battling it out at this iconic event at the end of 2026.”

As was the case this year, the 2026 season is due to begin at Phillip Island in late March, with The Bend Motorsport Park, Queensland Raceway and Sydney Motorsports Park also being retained from this year’s schedule.

2026 GT World Challenge Australia powered by AWS Schedule:

March 17 – Official Media and Test Day (Phillip Island)
March 28-29 – Phillip Island
May 9-10 – The Bend Motorsport Park
June 13-14 – Queensland Raceway
July 25-26 – Hidden Valley Raceway
Sept. 19-20 – Sydney Motorsports Park
Dec. 3-6 – Adelaide Street Circuit
