A total of 98 GT3 and GT4 cars will be in action at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend as part of the inaugural SRO Speedweek ahead of the Total 24 Hours of Spa.

The event includes rounds of the British GT Championship, GT4 European Series and Blancpain GT Sports Club.

They will be joined by the BRDC British Formula 3 Championship, which co-headlines with British GT on several weekends throughout the season, the Ginetta GT5 & G40 Cup and VW Racing Cup.

Track action will get underway on Friday while most GT races are scheduled for Sunday, with the exception of the Blancpain GT Sports Club Qualifying Race on Saturday afternoon.

The 98-strong GT fields are made up of 30 GT3 cars and 68 GT4 cars, including a record 50-car grid for the GT4 European Series.

It is the first time that the SRO Motorsports Group has organized the ‘Speedweek’, although the British GT and GT4 European Series grids did run in the same race at Spa in 2016, a joint event which was cancelled the following year after criticism from British GT GT3 competitors.
