The first confirmed cars for GT America’s new Cup category for popular cars from single-make series has been revealed, with Gotham Motorsports announcing plans for a partial season effort with two Ferrari 488 Challenge Evo entries.

Owned by Yousuf Nabi, a disabled U.S. Army Veteran and former law enforcement officer, the team, which operates across four states and has run programs in Trans Am, International GT and SVRA, will expand its presence into SRO America competition for the first time.

Nabi will pilot one of Gotham’s Ferraris, with Radu Muntean in the second entry.

“Racing Ferrari GT cars has been a lifelong dream of mine,” said Nabi. “Winning the 2025 Maranello Cup Championship in International GT and to now compete in GT America is going to be super exciting.

“Doing this alongside my friend and teammate Radu Muntean with Gotham Motorsports as well as long time pro driver and coach Dario Capitanio makes it even more meaningful, and I’m excited to race in this new class.

“This season is going to be a major step forward for Gotham Motorsports, competing in GT America with Ferrari allows us to showcase our program at one of the highest professional GT levels in the country in one of the best, if not the best, race cars in the world.”

As announced last year, the single-driver FIA Bronze-rated driver-enforced sprint series will welcome Cup class machinery from the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche to the grid.

SRO America also announced last October that a dedicated class for Ginetta GTP8 machinery will also be added, alongside the returning SRO3 (GT3), GT2 and GT4 categoeires.

The season kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 27-29.
