Justin Rothberg was quickest overall on the time charts in GT America powered by AWS on Friday at Barber Motorsports Park, despite Samantha Tan setting the fastest time in the day’s second session.

Tan reeled off a best lap of 1:23.262 on her final flying lap in the session, which while quickest, was unable to top Rothberg’s benchmark 1:23.131 from the morning.

Rothberg ended up second quickest in the afternoon session.

The No. 3 SKI Autosports Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II of Johnny O’Connell was third, while Jason Daskalos and Jason Bell completed the overall top five in their respective Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and Aston Martin Vantage GT3 Evo race cars.

In GT4, Curt Swearingin pipped Isaac Sherman to go quickest in his No. 7 ACI Motorsports Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

Swearingin ended up just over one-tenth quicker than Sherman’s Porsche in the session, with Gray Newell third in the No. 25 Heart of Racing Team Aston Martin Vantage GT4.

Qualifying is set to get underway Saturday at 8:05 a.m. CDT, followed by Race 1 at 1 p.m. CDT, which will be streamed live on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.
