A total of 21 cars are set to do battle on the streets of Long Beach for this weekend’s Pirelli GT4 America Sprint round.
SRO Motorsports America has released the entry list for the event, which transitions to a points-paying GT4-only race after being an invitational round last year alongside GT3 machinery.
Sunday’s single-driver, 50-minute race will mark the third round of the GT4 Sprint season following last month’s double-header in St. Petersbrug, which saw victory in Race 1 by Team Panoz Racing’s Ian James.
As a result, James heads into Long Beach with a two-point lead over Robinson Racing’s Gar Robinson, with Spencer Pumpelly, of TRG, third in the drivers’ standings.
Among the additions to the the grid this weekend include Matthew Brabham in a CRP Racing-run Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport MR as well as James Sofronas, who is set for a one-off drive in a GMG Racing Audi R8 LMS GT4 car.
A total of three Audi GT4s will be fielded by the California-based team, with entries also from Jason Bell and CJ Moses.
Track action kicks off on Friday with opening practice, with qualifying on Saturday morning and the race set for a 10 a.m. PT time start on Sunday.
