Nolasport has confirmed a return to Pirelli GT4 America SprintX competition with its Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport for Matt Travis and Jason Hart.
The duo combined for seven class victories in the nationwide Pro-Am class this year although ended up coming up seven points short of claiming the championship following a hard-fought battle with Stephen Cameron Racing’s Gregory Liefooghe and Sean Quinlan.
“The season championship came down to the last lap of the last race and although we ended up P2, I couldn’t be more thankful for the great people, new experiences, amazing results, and many wonderful memories,” Travis said.
“[We] can’t wait to do it again next year!”
Hart added: “The combination of Matt Travis, Nolaaport and Porsche is the recipe for a strong team. We gave our all and finish 2019 proud of our accomplishments. I am excited and ready to get on with 2020 and see how the team grows in the future.”
Team principal Jon Scheurich said they’re aiming to field additional Porsche entries in SRO America competition next year, as well as possibilities in IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge.
The team currently has three Porsche GT4s, with an additional brand-new 718 Clubsport due in January, as well as a newly delivered Porsche 911 GT2 RS Clubsport, for a potential run in SRO’s new-for-2020 GT2 Sports Club America series.
“Each year our team grows, our drivers get faster and our trophy case gets bigger,” Scheurich said. “We’re moving on to even bigger and better things in 2020 and can’t wait to see what’s in store.”
