Newly crowned TC America TCR DSG Cup champion Bryan Putt will make the step up to Pirelli GT4 America competition with an Aston Martin Vantage GT4 next year.

Putt will field the new-generation Aston under his own team, BSport Racing, which will compete in SprintX Pro-Am with Putt and longtime driver coach Kenton Koch.

Koch’s wife, Dani, has been brought on board to serve as team manager for the new effort, which will debut in 2020.

It will mark the first Aston Martin committed to the series.

“After our first year in SRO America, and winning the DSG Cup title, it’s a big leap to move into team ownership and SprintX in the Aston Martin GT4,” said Putt.

“With the combination of myself and Kenton Koch as co-drivers, along with Kenton’s wife Dani helping on the team management side, and an experienced engineer and mechanics, we feel confident that it will be a great season.

“It will definitely be a learning year for the entire group, and we are very excited for the challenge.”

Putt dominated the DSG Cup in his rookie season of professional racing, claiming seven class wins and 13 podium finishes in 16 races.

Koch has served as Putt’s driver coach for the last three years.

“I’m excited to work with him as not only a coach next year, but as a co-driver, and think it’ll help take him to new levels in his driving,” Koch said.

“Bryan has expressed interest in running his own team since the first time I met him. We’ve been careful not to rush into it so we could be properly prepared and make sure it’s a positive experience.

“We’re excited to take that next step.

“We see SRO GT4 America as a home for our team for the coming years and the support from Aston Martin is what we’re looking for in a new program.”
