Pirelli GT4 America race winner Parker Thompson will return to full-time SRO America competition, having been confirmed alongside Anthony McIntosh in JTR Motorsports Engineering’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO this season.

The Toyota-contracted driver, who also competes in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with Vasser Sullivan, will make the move from the now-defunct Hanley Motorsports operation to JTR, which made selected GT4 America starts in the past but is gearing up for a Pro-Am class championship attack.

McIntosh and Thompson worked together last year, most notably taking a class win in Porsche Endurance Challenge North America competition in the six-hour season finale at Circuit of The Americas.

“ We are very excited to have Tony McIntosh and Parker Thompson as our Pro-Am driver pairing for GT4 America,” said team manager Dave Thomas.

“I think they will be really competitive in the series, and our aim is to go out there and win races, and hopefully win the championship.

“This is our first full season entry in SRO. We have done some one-off events in the past, so we’re really grateful for the opportunity to run a full season.

“We have competed in so many other series, but we’re very happy to be able to commit to this completely.

“I’m particularly looking forward to returning to Circuit of The Americas for the Lone Star Enduro. Tony and Parker recently won a six hour endurance race there last month, so we’re super excited to go back and hopefully replicate that same performance in GT4 America.”
