Frikadelli Racing will campaign two Porsche 911 GT3 Rs in the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, expanding on its single-car effort in the team’s race debut last year.

The Nürburgring specialists have confirmed that Patrick Pilet and Dennis Olsen will be joined by Porsche factory driver Fred Makowiecki in one Porsche, with the all-works lineup of Thomas Preining, Michael Christensen and Julien Andlauer in the team’s second entry.

Makowiecki and Olsen were part of Frikadelli’s lineup in the Belgian endurance classic last year, where it finished eighth overall.

It will mark the first race outside of the Nürburgring 24 or NLS races where the team has fielded two GT3 cars.

Only a single Porsche entry will take part in this week’s Official Test Days due to the team’s participation in this weekend’s NLS 4 round.

“Last year we competed for the first time in the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps and were able to achieve eighth place overall,” said team boss Klaus Abbelen.

“We are really looking forward to participating again. After all, it is the biggest GT3 race in the world. During the test drives this week we will use a Porsche 911 GT3 R and try to collect as much data as possible over the two days.”

Frikadelli joins KCMG with having confirmed lineups for the opening round of the Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli, where Porsche will be seeking its third consecutive manufacturers’ championship.
