Craft-Bamboo Racing has announced plans to expand to a second Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for its assault on next year’s Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.
The Hong Kong-flagged squad finished fifth in this year’s running of the Intercontinental GT Challenge opener with Lucas Auer, Maximilian Goetz and Jayden Ojeda sharing its Pro class No. 77 entry having started from pole.
Now the team has revealed it will be adding a second Pro-Am car to its stable as it bids for a first outright victory in the Australian event, which takes place on Feb. 13-15.
It mirrors the approach taken by the team in this year’s Suzuka 1000km IGTC fixture, when it scored Pro-Am victory with one of its two Mercedes-AMGs.
Driver lineups for both cars remain unannounced, with a team release stating that it remains “open for inquiries” for its Pro-Am car.
“We are really happy to return once again to the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2026,” said team director Darryl O’Young. “At this stage we are still heavily into planning for the event and still in discussion with several drivers interested in our Pro-Am entry.
“We love this race and have competed here as a team since 2015. We have finished in every position in the top five except for overall victory, so clearly you know what we are after!
“We will do everything we can to arrive with the most competitive line-ups possible, because we have the cars and experience to deliver a strong performance.”
