Jamie Day was quickest in the second practice session of the day at Mount Panorama, which was reserved for Bronze-rated drivers.

Day, in the Silver class No. 14 Volante Rosso Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT3, reeled off a best lap of 2:05.106 to outpace Kenny Habul’s No. 75 SunEnergy1 Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo by 0.956 seconds.

Habul ended up as the quickest Bronze-rated driver, however, as Day is Silver rated by the FIA.

The U.S.-based Australian blitzed the field by more than one second over the No. 91 Manthey EMA Porsche 911 GT3 R of Yasser Shahin, who was third quickest.

Theo Koundouris and Ian James completed the top-five for Tigani Motorsport and Heart of Racing Team by SPS, respectively.

Fourteen of the cars turned laps in the session, which was only eligible for amateur drivers.

Practice 3, which is open to all drivers, is set for a 1:45 p.m. local time (Thursday, 9:45 p.m. ET) start time.
