Earl Bamber Motorsport will fight for overall victory in the Megiuar’s Bathurst 12 Hour for the first time since 2020, the team has announced.
EBM will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R in the Pro class, piloted by Klaus Bachler, Laurin Heinrich and Ricardo Feller.
It will mark EBM’s first appearance in the Australian enduro in six years and only its third start in the event overall, having debuted with a famous, last-lap victory in 2019.
“We’re pleased to work together with EBM on their return to the Bathurst 12 Hour,” said Alex Gibot, Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific managing director.
“It’s a special event, a fantastic track and holds great memories for the team, considering its incredible victory there back in 2019, and for Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific.
“With Klaus, Laurin and Ricardo at the wheel, we believe EBM has a seriously strong line-up capable of fighting at the front.
“The Bathurst 12 Hour is the race that really kicks off the motorsport season in the Asia-Pacific region, so we can’t wait to get the weekend underway in February.”
For 2024 IMSA GTD Pro champion Heinrich, who has recently become a factory Porsche Penske Motorsport driver, it will mark his second attempt at Mount Panorama after debuting in a Pro-Am-entered Manthey Racing Porsche this year.
“It’s great to return to Bathurst after my first appearance here in 2025 and this time in a Pro car makes it even more special,” he said. “I’m pleased that I was able to gain lots of valuable experience during my debut.
“I know the team as I’ve worked with them during Thailand Super Series, which was very successful.
“I’m confident that the brilliant combination of Klaus and Ricardo alongside the team will deliver a strong performance on-track.”
Feller added: “I’m very happy to be competing with EBM and sharing the car with Klaus and Laurin too. I think we’ll have a great chance and the goal is clear, we want to be fighting for the podium places.”
Fellow Porsche-contracted driver Bachler, meanwhile, is set for his Bathurst debut.
“It’s always been on my wish list to race at Mount Panorama Circuit as the track looks fantastic and the atmosphere of the whole event is very special,” he said.
“I’ve shared the car with Laurin and Ricardo before so I’m excited to work with both again.
“EBM is a very experienced team who won this enduro back in 2019 so I can’t wait to hit the track with them in February.”
