HubAuto Corsa has confirmed a full-season Intercontinental GT Challenge powered by Pirelli campaign, with the Taiwanese squad set to be represented in the entire five-round championship with a Ferrari 488 GT3.
It comes in the wake of Ferrari’s manufacturer commitment to IGTC, announced on Wednesday.
The all-Australian trio of Nick Foster, Tim Slade and Nick Percat are set for this weekend’s season-opening Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, although the lineup is likely to change on a race-by-race basis, according to team boss Morris Chen.
“The Intercontinental GT Challenge is a championship that continues to grow over the years,” Chen told Endurance-Info.
“We take pride to represent Ferrari for the entire championship. More and more manufacturers are present.”
Foster was part of the team’s pole-sitting effort in last year’s Suzuka 10 Hours, which featured Ferrari factory drivers Davide Rigon and Miguel Molina in a second entry.
Chen also confirmed a return to Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia competition.
It has also continued to evaluate a potential Asian Le Mans Series effort with an eye towards eventually competing in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
