Le Mans 24 Hours class winner Yasser Shahin will return to the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour to defend his Pro-Am class title in the 2025 race.

Shahin, who claimed the LMGT3 category win in the around-the-clock French enduro last year, will drive a current-specification Porsche 911 GT3 R entered by The Bend and again prepared by Manthey EMA Racing.

The car will compete in the Pro-Am class with Yasser to be joined by brother Sam, a former Pro-Am champion in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia, who will make his 12-Hour return this year.

The four-up driving squad will be completed by experienced pro drivers, yet to be announced.

The Bend’s Porsche is the first entry from the marque this year as the brand seeks a record-equalling third Bathurst 12 Hour win following their impressive 2024 triumph.

The Brothers Shahin both had extraordinary 2024 seasons, Yasser not only winning his class at LeMans but finishing second in the LM GT3 class in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

Sam competed in the Porsche Supercup Championship for the first time, in between a partial Australian campaign in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia.

EMA’s 2024 Bathurst 12 Hour campaign was also hugely successful, the squad winning not just the Pro-Am class but also the outright race with a sister ‘Grello’ Porsche driven by Matt Campbell, Ayhancan Guven and Laurens Vanthoor.

Yasser Shahin and co-drivers Alessio Picariello and Harry King finished 8th outright and claimed the Pro-Am class win.
