The second edition of the FIA GT Nations Cup will be held at Vallelunga on Nov. 1-3, 2019, SRO founder and CEO Stephane Ratel announced on Saturday.
The announcement was made at Bahrain International Circuit during the first FIA GT Nations Cup event, although it still has to be ratified by the FIA.
Next year’s event will be on the weekend initially reserved for the Kyalami 9 Hours, but the season-ending Intercontinental GT Challenge round has instead been pushed back three weeks to Nov. 23.
This avoids a clash with the Rugby World Cup Final, a significant event on the South African sporting calendar, and is the week following the FIA GT World Cup at Macau.
A GT4 endurance race will also be held at Vallelunga, replacing the planned event during the Speedweek at Spa-Francorchamps in July.
The standalone GT4 race effectively replaces the GT4 International Cup which has supported the FIA GT Nations Cup at Bahrain this weekend.
