Cameron Waters was quickest in the sixth and final practice session ahead of qualifying and the Pirelli Pole Battle for the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

Waters in the No. 222 Scott Taylor Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, reeled off a chart-topping 2:02.700 in the closing stages of the one-hour session.

It was 0.275 seconds quicker than Ross Gunn in the Bronze class No. 27 Heart of Racing by SPS Mercedes-AMG, who ended up second.

Bathurst rookie Jamie Day was third in his No. 14 Volante Rosso Motorsport Aston Martin Vantage GT3, with Tony D’Alberto and Laurin Heinrich completing the top-five for Wall Racing and Manthey EMA, respectively.

There were no red flags in the session.

The top 11 cars from final practice will take part in the second half of the qualifying, which has split the 22-car field in half.

Qualifying starts at 1:05 p.m. local time (Friday, 9:05 p.m. ET).
