Lamborghini has confirmed that Imola will fill the vacant slot on next year’s Super Trofeo Europe calendar, forming a standalone round as part of the second edition of the Italian brand’s Lamborghini Arena event.
When Lamborghini initially released the calendars for all three of its regional Super Trofeo championships last month, it did not yet name an exact location for its second event, only stating that it would take place in Italy.
On Wednesday, the brand confirmed that the series would return to Imola for the first time since 2024 as part of its own Lamborghini Arena activation event.
This means that the Imola round, held on May 9-10, is the only European fixture outside of the end-of-season World Finals event that is not held as part of the support package for GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.
Additionally, Sportscar365 understands that a change has been made to the schedule for the Asian series, with the second round now set to be held at China’s Ningbo International Circuit instead of Buriram.
The event has also been pushed back by a week and will now take place on May 22-24.
