Orlando Motorsports Services has confirmed another father-and-son team that will compete in McLaren Trophy America next year.
Stephen Sorbaro, the 2025 Am class Papaya Cup champion and third-place overall finisher in category, will be joined by his son, Scott, in a separate McLaren Artura Trophy EVO car in the SRO America-run single-make series.
It comes just a week after news of the OMS-operated Hooper Street Racing’s expansion into a two-car effort for Bob and Robby Stockard.
“I’m excited to come back to the Trophy America series for another season,” said Stephen Sorbaro. “I love driving this car. McLaren has built a fantastic car and a fun series.
“OMS does a great job preparing the car for us each time out, but for me, the best part is sharing the grid with Scott.”
Scott Sorbaro, who made his series and OMS debut at Road America this year, said: “I’m really excited to be joining OMS for the 2026 McLaren Trophy season.
“I’m looking forward to working with such a professional team and enjoying some fun, fast races together. I can’t wait to see what the season has in store.”
Team principal Eric Burch added: “Stephen did a tremendous job last season capturing the Papaya Cup Championship, and I have no doubt he’ll hit the ground running in 2026.
“Scott showed immediate pace at Road America, and we expect to continue developing his growth behind the wheel.
“I’m very happy to have four cars on the grid this season. I’m sure we’ll see some epic battles between teammates, along with some father-son bragging rights.”
The Sorbaros will again be coached by racing veteran Pierre Kleinubing. All OMS entries will proudly carry McLaren Orlando branding as the team’s dealer partner.
The McLaren Trophy America season kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 27–29.
