Ford’s automotive parts brand, Motorcraft, will be the naming rights partner for the inaugural Mustang Cup Australia season next year.
The series, set to kick off at Phillip Island in March, will be known as the Motorcraft Mustang Cup Australia.
Motorcraft is a range of competitively priced parts covering key service components such as batteries, brakes, plugs, filters and fluids, and has been a trusted name for more than 50 years.
It has been prominent in motorsport for many years, from the Ford factory team in the early 1970s with Allan Moffat at the helm, to Dick Johnson’s run of success in the 1980s and around the world in NASCAR, WRC and Le Mans.
“The Mustang Cup Australia series is an exciting, accessible opportunity for up-and-coming Australian drivers to learn their craft and show their potential,” said Ford Australia’s national parts marketing manager Tim Bill.
Mustang Cup Australia series manager Liam Curkpatrick added: “We’re very pleased to announce this partnership with Motorcraft and look forward to the opportunities it will create.
“Motorcraft is a renowned and trusted brand, synonymous with quality, reliability, and performance, a fantastic brand for Mustang Cup Australia to align with. We look forward to pushing forward together, both on and off the track.”
