This weekend’s Toyota GR Cup North America grid will have an increased field, with several returning teams and drivers to the single-make series at Road America.
A total of 29 cars are set for this weekend’s action, including the second start of the season for TV personality Rutledge Wood in the No. 18 Precision Racing LA Toyota GR86 Cup car.
Wood made his series debut over the Circuit of The Americas weekend and is slated to contest a limited-season schedule.
Eagles Canyon Racing is back with four additional entries for Jason Kos, Tom Rudnai, Jeff Curry and Andrew Gilleland, while Farran Davis will be back behind the wheel of the No. 11 Toyota from RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate.
Additionally, Mazda MX-5 Cup veteran Jeremy Fletcher is set for his series debut at the wheel of a Copeland-entered Toyota, alongside an additional entry for Jack Murchison, although John Dean is not listed.
James Kilmas, of Skip Barber Racing and Nitro Motorsports’ Ethan Ayars are also not slated to take part after contesting the most recent VIR round.
Parker DeLong, meanwhile, will be in for Ayden Kirk in the No. 47 Nolasport Toyota.
Westin Workman extended his championship lead with a win and a third-place finish at VIR, which now sees the BSI Racing driver with a 39-point lead over Lucas Weisenberg of Lucas Racing.
Copeland’s Jaxon Bell has slipped to third in the standings after not scoring any points in Race 2 at VIR.
GR Cup North America will have two test sessions on tap for Thursday, with practice scheduled for Friday, followed by individual qualifying sessions and races on Saturday (2:05 p.m. CST) and Sunday (12:45 p.m.).
