Max Schweid will make the switch from TechSport to RVA Graphics Motorsports by Speed Syndicate for his second season of competition in Toyota GR Cup North America competition, it has been announced.

The 19-year-old Asian-American from South Florida made his pro racing debut last year, highlighted by a pole position for Race 1 at Road America.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Max to the RVA Graphics Motorsports family,” said team development manager Farran Davis.

“Max demonstrated exceptional promise during his rookie season, his relentless commitment to performance and insatiable hunger to learn and improve, align perfectly with our team culture.

“With Segra’s partnership, we have all the pieces in place to elevate Max’s development and continue building championship-contending programs.”

Team Engineer Chris Vallee added: “It’s exciting to add another engineer to the team. Max’s technical background allows for a deeper level of communication when it comes to vehicle setup and performance optimization.

“He doesn’t just feel what the car is doing, he can help us understand why, which accelerates our development process significantly.”

The GR Cup season kicks off at the Arlington Grand Prix, in support of the NTT IndyCar Series on March 14-15.
