ANSA Set to Run KTM X-BOW GT4 in PWC GTS Next Season

ANSA Motorsports has announced its intention to run the KTM X-BOW GT4, built by Reiter Engineering, in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge season.

The KTM would be a new entry into the GTS class. All new cars would be subject to homologation; Pirelli World Challenge and its technical committee would need to outline the parameters for cars to compete.

The KTM was unveiled late last year and has raced in the GT4 European Series this year.

ANSA indicated in its team release that it will make its first U.S. appearance at next week’s season finale at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, although did not say whether it will have any time on-track or just be on display.

“We are very excited to bring the first KTM X-BOW GT4 to the United States,” said Alain Nadal, ANSA Motorsports team principal. “We will enter KTM X-Bows next season in the Pirelli World Challenge, and we hope to compete for the 2016 GTS championship with our drivers.”

Earlier this year, Nadal reached an agreement with Reiter Engineering’s owner, Hans Reiter, to become a Reiter Engineering dealer.

Since then, ANSA Motorsports has marketed the Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo GT3, the Reiter Engineering SaReNi Camaro GT3 and the new, exciting KTM X-BOW GT4 race car.

This does not necessarily preclude ANSA, which has run a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car in the GT Cup presented by MOMO class for Lorenzo Trefethen this season, from competing with a Porsche again next year.

“In addition to racing the KTM X-Bow GT4 in 2016, ANSA Motorsports is still studying options to continue racing a Porsche GT3 Cup in the GT-Cup class and/or other cars in GTA and/or GT class, including the new Pirelli World Challenge Sprint-X GT Championship Series,” said ANSA Motorsports Executive Consultant Emmanuel Lupe.

“We are looking for the 2016 rules, regulations and schedule to be announced for each Pirelli World Challenge series, before making our decisions.”
