The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R has been given a weight increase, while the BMW M4 GT3 EVO gets a weight break ahead of this afternoon’s GT World Challenge America powered by AWS round at Road America.

Confirmed by SRO Motorsports Group on Saturday afternoon, the Corvette will now carry 15 kg of additional ballast, resulting in an increased minimum weight of 1340 kg.

Conversely, the BMW will now be 10 kg lighter, weighing in at 1325 kg.

BoP changes were also announced for Pirelli GT4 America, which sees the Mercedes-AMG GT4 get 10 kg of additional weight and the McLaren Artura GT4 move from SRO “Restrictor 3” to “Restrictor 2.5.”

Race 1 of GTWC America is scheduled to start at 3:15 p.m. CST, followed by the first GT4 America race at 5 p.m., although track activity is currently stopped due to severe weather in the area.
