SRO America and FOX Sports have entered into a broadcast agreement that will see coverage of GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Pirelli GT4 America on FS1 this year.

The broadcast packages will bring its two flagship GT series in North America to potential millions of viewers, significantly boosting its linear exposure.

Announced on Wednesday, the deal will see both GTWC America and GT4 America featured in one-hour packaged programs broadcast the Saturday following each SRO America event.

All programming will air on FS1, which reaches approximately 60 million homes across North America.

Broadcasts will be led by the unchanged SRO America commentary team of Ryan Myrehn (play-by-play) and Calvin Fish (analysis) in the booth, with longtime FOX Sports presenter Amanda Busick (pictured above) serving as the host and pit lane reporter.

The move to FS1 comes as a significant upgrade in SRO America’s TV package that has most recently been broadcast on speciality cable channel MAVTV, which was rebranded to the RACER Network last April.

“Having GT World Challenge America powered by AWS and Pirelli GT4 America on FS1 is an important step in the growth and visibility of our championships,” said SRO America President and CEO Greg Gill.

“FS1 provides a powerful platform to reach a broad, passionate audience while honoring the history of GT racing on this network.

“We look forward to partnering with FS1 and reaching new heights together as we bring the excitement of premier GT racing to more homes across North America.”

The new agreement marks the series’ return to a FOX-owned property.

FS1 launched in 2013 as the successor to SPEED Channel, which for many years served as the home and title sponsor of the SPEED World Challenge, the precursor to GTWC America.

Both GTWC America and GT4 America, as well as SRO America’s suite of championships including GT America powered by AWS, TC America powered by Skip Barber Racing School, Toyota GR Cup North America and McLaren Trophy America will continue to streamed live and free on SRO’s GT World YouTube channel.

The season kicks off at Sonoma Raceway on March 27-29, with the first FS1 broadcast expected the following weekend.
