Marcus Haselgrove is no longer part of SRO America, following a restructuring and alignment under its global parent company, SRO Motorsports Group.
Multiple industry sources have confirmed to Sportscar365 that Haselgrove, who served as the VP of Competition and Operations, has been let go effective immediately, with no replacement apparently to be made.
When asked by Sportscar365, a SRO America spokesperson said they do not comment on staffing matters.
Haselgrove joined what was then known as WC Vision in 2014, replacing Geoff Carter as its Director of Competition before being promoted two years later to an overarching role that included management of technical, sporting and operational aspects of the company.
His role continued despite the SRO’s majority acquisition of WC Vision in 2018 and the influx of many of Stephane Ratel’s global staff, including sporting director Jacquie Groom and Chief Operating Officer Patricia Kiefer.
With no other SRO-run championships having a series-specific competition director, it’s believed Haselgrove’s role had become redundant.
It’s unclear if any other changes have been made within the SRO America organization at this time.
