Lahlouh to Step Up to GT3 in Wright Porsche

Therese Lahlouh to make GT3 debut in GT World Challenge America powered by AWS next year…

Phot: Wright Motorsports

Therese Lahlouh will step up the Porsche Motorsport North America ‘pyramid’ in making the move to GT World Challenge America powered by AWS with Wright Motorsports for the 2026 season.

Lahlouh, member of the Porsche Mobil 1 Female Driver Program, will pilot one of the team’s Porsche 911 GT3R Evos in the series that kicks off at Sonoma Raceway in March.

Her co-driver has yet to be announced in what will be a Pro-Am class entry.

It is the first Porsche confirmed by the Adam Adelson-owned team, which as first revealed by Sportscar365, is returning to top level SRO America competition next year.

After getting her start in Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West in 2023 and spending the last two seasons in Porsche Sprint Challenge North America, Lahlouh will now graduate to GTWC America with the Ohio-based team.

“I feel so fortunate and so excited about 2026,” said Lahlouh. “When I first started this motorsport journey, I never imagined I’d have the chance to run a GT3 R at night at Sebring.

“One of the first events I went to was a Carrera Cup race at Sebring in 2023 with IMSA and WEC, and it felt like this outer-space goal I’d never reach.

“To now be taking this next step with Wright Motorsports, I’m just incredibly thankful to the people who have developed me and believed in me. ”

Lahlouh said GTWC America appealed to her because of its structure and the meaningful role it gives Bronze-rated drivers.

“As a Bronze driver, I really wanted to be part of the program and part of the results,” she said. “If I’m going to be in a team sport, I want my contribution to matter.

“GT World Challenge America gives me that opportunity to shine and have a real impact on the team’s performance.”

Her connection to Wright dates back earlier than she ever expected.

“The first GT3 R I ever saw was a Wright Motorsports car,” said Lahlouh . “Their car chief gave me a tour when I was racing in Porsche Sprint Challenge USA West, and I never imagined I’d be driving one of their cars just two years later.

“The program Adam Adelson is now leading, building on John Wright’s foundation, is incredibly strong.

“From Bob Viglione to Adam, I feel so supported in my goals and ambitions. They have everything I need to get where I want to go.”

Wright Part of Expanded Porsche Customer Lineup in GTWC America

Sportscar365 understands that Wright is expected to field at least two Porsches next year, with other entries, from the likes of Kellymoss and Riley, also understood to be in the planning stages for what will be an expanded customer program for the German manufacturer.

“Porsche Motorsport North America is proud of the continued success of our customer racing programs, with drivers and teams competing in SRO competition since the early World Challenge championships,” said Porsche Motorsport North America President and CEO Volker Holzmeyer.

“The newest generation Porsche 911 GT3 R, debuting in 2026, is well-suited for both GT America and GT World Challenge America, while the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport has already achieved multiple wins and championships in GT4 America.

“We look forward to seeing our customers continue to compete at the highest levels in the seasons ahead.”
