Daniel Morad has been confirmed at CRP Racing for the entire Pirelli World Challenge season, ahead of this weekend’s GT Sprint season-opener in St. Pete.
The Canadian driver, who teamed with Ryan Dalziel for two victories in SprintX competition last year, steps up to a full-season role in the team’s Mercedes-AMG GT3, with Dalziel departing for TruSpeed Autosport.
Morad’s co-driver for the SprintX round have yet to be announced.
“It feels great to be back with CRP Racing,” said Morad. “We scored a big win in my debut as the SprintX driver, as well as a win to close out my driving duties in the Mercedes-AMG GT3. I’m really happy to have the confidence of the team to lead their campaign. I’m looking forward to picking up where we left off.”
While having evaluated options in other series, including the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, the Nick Short-led team returns to PWC competition with its longtime partner DeVilbiss.
“I’m happy to have Daniel back with CRP Racing for a second year,” Short said. “We believe he deserved this chance after his performances as our SprintX driver last year. He is fast, dynamic, and very focused, and we look forward to seeing how the season unfolds.”
