Riley Motorsports will return to full-time GT World Challenge America powered by AWS competition this year, fielding a BMW M4 GT3 EVO for Slade Stewart and Andy Lee.
Announced on Thursday, the Pro-Am class effort moves over from Stewart’s previous operator, Flying Lizard Motorsports, having been in Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America competition the last four years with his now-signature ‘Sparklefarts’ design.
The same livery, designed by Stewart’s children, has been transplanted on to the No. 14 BMW for Stewart’s GT3 debut.
Sportscar365 understands that Stewart has purchased two BMWs from Elias Sabo, who curtailed his motorsports involvement mid-year in 2025 due to business reasons, having also been another Flying Lizard client.
“As I continue to grow in motorsports as in life, it is important to me to always seek out the best there is, no matter the circumstances,” said Stewart.
“Riley Motorsports has a deep and rich history in motorsports spanning over 60 years. We couldn’t be happier with the start of the new relationship, so make sure to tune in and follow out journey together this season.”
Lee added: “After several successful seasons in Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Slade and I were looking for a new series to continue our progression.
“SRO GT World Challenge America felt like the natural place to go to keep growing as teammates and drivers.
“The opportunity to do it with such an illustrious team as Riley Motorsports is just a dream. We can’t wait to continue with the team and work towards the opening round at Sonoma Raceway.”
The BMW effort will mark Riley’s first full-time GTWC America campaign since 2023, when it ran CrowdStrike’s Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo for George Kurtz and Colin Braun. The duo made two starts last year, including at the season-ending Indianapolis 8 Hour presented by AWS, although have yet to declare any GT3 plans for this season.
Riley and its sister team Kellymoss are expected to combine for multiple GTWC America entries this year, with further announcements to be made in the coming weeks.
