Stephen Cameron Racing has announced a two-car SRO Motorsports America program, with entries spanning Blancpain GT World Challenge America and Pirelli GT4 America.
Henry Schmitt and Greg Liefooghe are set to share the team’s BMW M6 GT3 for the full Blancpain GT America season, while Sean Quinlan and Liefooghe are listed in a BMW M4 GT4 for the SprintX season.
All three drivers were with the team last year, with Schmitt having contested both TC and GT4 events with the squad previously. Quinlan raced in TC competition for Stephen Cameron Racing last year, well Liefooghe has lengthy ties to the team.
The team has bolstered its engineering staff in the off-season by hiring ex-Spirit of Daytona Racing engineer Rick Cameron to oversee the program.
“It is always exciting to get a new race season started,” said team owner Steve Cameron. “We have a great group of drivers within the Cameron Racing program as well as a solid crew and engineering staff.
“Our marketing partners and BMW have been very supportive in our efforts, and we look forward to the first green flag of the season this weekend.
“We have some consistency with our drivers from 2018 to 2019 and that should elevate our program. We also have some returning engineers from previous seasons that bring renewed focus and a new way of thinking.
“They also come with a very healthy resume and could be the final pieces to the Cameron Racing puzzle.”
