A total of 51 cars are set to take part in this week’s Blancpain GT Series official pre-season test at Paul Ricard, as GT3 teams and manufacturers prepare for the start of the 2016 season.
The two-day test, which gets underway on Wednesday, will see a number of new GT3 cars take part, including the BMW M6 GT, Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Porsche 911 GT3 R. In all, a total of 12 manufacturers will be represented.
ENTRY LIST: Paul Ricard Test
Defending series champions Belgian Audi Club Team WRT will have all four of its new Audi R8 LMS cars present, alongside additional entries from Phoenix Racing, Santeloc Racing, ISR and JB Motorsport.
GRT Grasser Racing Team, Barwell Motorsport, ARC Bratislava, Autovitesse and Attempto Racing will all have Lamborghini Huracan GT3s in action, while both Bentley Team M-Sport and Team Parker Racing will field Bentley Continental GT3s.
The new BMW M6 GT3 will make its European debut in the hands of Rowe Racing and Boutsen Ginon Racing, with Black Falcon, HTP Motorsport and AKKA-ASP all set to field the new Mercedes-AMG GT3.
Ferrari’s new 488 GT3 is not listed to participate in the test, although AF Corse and other teams will field the previous-generation 458 GT3 this week.
The entry list also sees a handful of Cup cars, such as the Renault RS01 and Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo, which will take part in the test but will not be eligible to race in the ten-round Blancpain GT Series season.
Per the entry list, drivers have not been nominated for each car.
SRO Motorsports Group founder and CEO Stephane Ratel will unveil the full-season entry lists for the championship on Wednesday evening, which will be streamed live on the Blancpain GT Series Web site.
