Team AKKA-ASP will expand its Blancpain GT Series program, entering four cars in all ten rounds of the championship and adding a handful of promising new names to its lineup.
The French squad remains with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 that delivery victory the Sprint Cup finale at Barcelona and a second place overall finish in the Total 24 Hours of Spa, but doubles its effort for the Endurance Cup, while adding an additional car for the Sprint Cup.
Tristan Vautier, Daniel Juncadella and former Puerto Rican single seater driver Félix Serrallés headline the lineup in the No. 88 car. The latter two will also compete in the Sprint Cup.
Michael Meadows, who previously drove for Belgian Audi Club Team WRT, will team up with Raffaele Marciello, and Mathias Lauda completing the lineup for the Endurance Cup rounds.
Team stalwart Jean-Luc Beaubelique will share one of the four Mercedes-AMG GT3s with upcoming talent Jules Gounon, who finished second in class in last month’s Rolex 24 at Daytona, while Mauro Ricci is the third driver.
Daniele Perfetti, Ludovic Badey and Alex Fontana, meanwhile, will team up for the Endurance Cup races, the latter having left the McLaren GT Driver Academy at the end of the 2016 season.
Jean-Philippe Belloc and Christophe Bourret will drive their car in the Sprint Cup.
Additionally, the team will continue in the Blancpain GT Sports Club, fielding two cars for Ricci and Anthony Pons.
