Mercedes-AMG Team Black Falcon secured pole for the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup finale at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Sunday morning.
Luca Stolz, Maro Engel and Yelmer Buurman set a combined time of 1:44.312 across the three sessions which were red-flagged and delayed on two occasions.
Their pole position promotes them to joint lead in the Endurance Cup standings, tied with Raffaele Marciello whose car qualified sixth.
The Italian shares the No. 88 AKKA ASP Mercedes with Tristan Vautier and Daniel Juncadella.
Belgian Audi Club Team WRT’s Dries Vanthoor, Christopher Mies and Alex Riberas will line up second in the No. 1 Audi, while R-Motorsport qualified third with its No. 76 Aston Martin Vantage GT3.
Silver Cup pole went to Ombra Racing with its Lamborghini Huracan GT3 driven by Andrea Rizzoli, Romain Monti and Alex Frassineti in 12th overall.
Strakka took Pro-Am pole with its No. 42 Mercedes driven by Lewis Williamson, Chris Buncombe and Nick Leventis in 23rd.
AKKA ASP’s Fabien Barthez and Eric Debard led the Am Cup class with their No. 89 Mercedes.
Q1 was red-flagged for an incident involving Pieter Schothorst and the No. 66 Attempto Racing Audi R8 LMS GT3 which has been forced to retire from the weekend, while Antonio Forne Tomas brought out a red flag in Q2.
The three-hour championship-deciding race will get underway at 3 p.m. local time.
